What you should know before buying from abroad
Vans is easy to get in all nine countries we checked, but not from the US website. Vans.com only ships within the United States, and its checkout regularly rejects cards issued outside the US or with a non-US billing address. Trying to order the US site to Bangkok or Buenos Aires simply will not complete, so the US store is the wrong door for an expat.
The honest drawback is there is no single global Vans checkout: you have to use your own country's storefront. The upside is those exist nearly everywhere here. Thailand sells Vans through its official LOTS store and Supersports, Malaysia has vans.com.my, the Philippines runs an official Vans flagship on Lazada, and Argentina has vans.com.ar. Costa Rica, Panama, Indonesia, Vietnam and South Africa are served through local retailers, malls and platforms like Lazada, Arsenal and Siman.
Because you buy locally, prices are in local currency, your normal card works, and returns go through the in-country store rather than back to the US. If you want a US-exclusive colorway your local site lacks, the fallback is a package forwarder with a US address and US card, but you then pay import duties and lose easy returns.
