What you should know before buying from abroad
Steve Madden runs separate regional sites, but the main US store at stevemadden.com only ships to the 48 states plus Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam and US military bases. It will not send a package to Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam or any of the countries we checked, and it explicitly blocks freight-forwarder addresses at checkout in some cases. To buy the US range from overseas you order to a US package-forwarder address (forward2me, MyUS, Stackry and similar), then have them reship to you.
The honest drawback: this is two layers of cost on top of the shoe price. You pay the forwarder a membership or per-parcel fee and reshipping postage, and your local customs will usually charge import duty and VAT on the declared value when it lands. A US card with a US billing address sails through; a local non-US card frequently trips the address-verification check, which is the most common reason checkout is declined for expats.
Returns are the weakest part of the experience from abroad. Steve Madden accepts unworn returns within 30 days but charges a $6.95 return fee and won't refund shipping, and the return label only works inside the US, so you'd ship back through your forwarder again at your own cost. If your country has a local Steve Madden store or authorized retailer (Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia all do), buying locally is far simpler for sizing and returns.
