Where we checked
What you should know before buying from abroad
SKIMS routes international orders through Global-e, the same checkout layer used by many large US fashion brands. Loading the site from outside the US auto-switches it to your country, prices items in your local currency, and quotes a final total that already includes import duties and taxes. We saw the storefront localize cleanly for the countries we checked across Asia, Latin America and South Africa, with both standard and express delivery offered.
The honest drawback is cost. Because duties and taxes are prepaid at checkout (DDP), the landed price you pay abroad is meaningfully higher than the US sticker price you may have seen advertised. There are no surprise customs bills on delivery, but the all-in number is what it is. Returns are also weaker than domestic: you ship back internationally, refunds exclude original duties in most cases, and the round trip can take weeks.
Payment is flexible. US-issued Visa, Mastercard and Amex work, and so do locally issued cards, with PayPal and some regional wallets available depending on country. No VPN, no US billing address, and no forwarding service is required to complete an order from any of the nine countries we checked.
Quick answers
Does SKIMS actually ship to my country, or do I need a forwarder?
It ships directly. The site localizes to your country at checkout, so a US forwarding address is not needed for any of the nine we checked.
Will I get a customs bill when the package arrives?
No. Duties and taxes are prepaid at checkout, so the total you pay is the total. The trade-off is a higher landed price.
Can I return an item from abroad?
Yes, but it is slower and costlier than in the US. You ship internationally, and prepaid duties are usually not refunded.
