Where we checked
What you should know before signing up from abroad
RoboForm puts up no walls for someone living overseas. Account creation asks only for an email and a master password — no US ZIP, no US phone, no residency check. The vault is end-to-end encrypted and loads over any connection, so there's no geo-block to route around and no need to keep a VPN running just to reach your passwords.
Payment is where most US services trip up expats, and RoboForm is generous: billing runs through Stripe and PayPal, and accepted cards span Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, JCB, UnionPay and Diners. A US card billed from Bangkok works, and so does a locally issued card in Thailand, the Philippines or Argentina.
The honest drawback is that cross-device sync is a paid feature. RoboForm Free is effectively single-device, so an expat who wants the same vault on a phone and a laptop has to be on Premium — it's cheap, but the free tier won't follow you across the devices you travel with.

Do I need a VPN to use my vault abroad?
