What you should know before buying from abroad
MVMT sells direct from mvmt.com and ships internationally through Flow Commerce, which lets you browse and pay in your local currency. US and non-US credit cards both work, so an expat using a US card or a local Thai or South African card can check out without trouble. Named destinations include Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Australia, while Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Panama, Argentina and South Africa are typically reachable through the catch-all Rest of World option.
The honest drawback is duties and coverage gaps. For many countries MVMT ships DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid), meaning your local customs office decides the import tax and you pay it before the parcel is released. On a watch this can add a noticeable amount on top of the price, and MVMT says it cannot control or refund those charges. Indonesia is explicitly excluded, so expats there cannot order at all from the US site.
Returns and warranty are workable but slow from abroad. MVMT accepts returns within 60 days, with free international return shipping on orders over 50 dollars (you pay return postage below that). The watch carries a two-year limited warranty against manufacturer defects, but a claim means mailing the watch back internationally, so factor in time and postage if something goes wrong overseas.
