Where we checked
What you should know before signing up from abroad
ActiveCampaign is a cloud email-marketing and CRM platform used by over 180,000 businesses worldwide, with offices from Dublin to Costa Rica. There is no US-only gate: you can start the free trial from Thailand, the Philippines or anywhere else without a US address, US phone number, or VPN. Your account is automatically routed to the nearest data region (EU or APAC), which keeps the dashboard fast even far from Chicago.
The honest drawback is billing. Everything is priced and charged in USD, so a non-US card may carry a foreign-transaction fee from your bank, and the amount you pay shifts slightly with the exchange rate. ActiveCampaign also refuses prepaid cards outright, so a travel or virtual prepaid card will be declined — you need a real credit or debit card, or PayPal.
Payment is otherwise flexible: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal all bill on a recurring basis, and large annual plans over $2,500 can settle by wire or check. International cards are accepted without issue. For most expats the only friction is the USD charge and the no-prepaid rule — the product itself behaves identically to how it does inside the US.
Quick answers
Do I need a US address or phone to sign up?
No. ActiveCampaign accepts sign-ups from any country with just an email — no US address or phone number required.
Will my non-US credit card work?
Yes. International Visa, Mastercard and Amex are accepted, as is PayPal. Only prepaid cards are refused, and billing is in USD.
Do I need a VPN to use ActiveCampaign abroad?
No. There is no geo-block. The platform loads normally from Asia, Latin America and Africa, with data routed to a nearby region.
